WHAT ARE THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT?

Interested in being a mentor?

Why you should join

You’ve been there. Barely passing exams, figuring out what to wear to your interview, studying for the bar. Wouldn’t it have been nice to have someone help you navigate through that?

As an Avocate mentor you can give back to the community and help young women navigate the legal world. Plus you’ll be exposed to our mentor network connecting you to other female attorneys in your community

How it works

Complete an application with some information about yourself. Membership runs with the school year between October through May.

Once you sign up as a mentor, you’ll remain in the program indefinitely. However, you will have the option to opt-out at the start of the next matching cycle.

Every single application is carefully read through and matches are selected based on mutual professional and personal interests. No computer-generated decision making here! This is what sets Avocate apart from our legal mentorship programs and why we have so many successful matches!

Interested in being a mentee?

Why you should join

First in your family to go to law school? Feel uncomfortable networking? Not sure which summer internship is right for you?

Your mentor is here to help. Avocate members are part of a larger network of law students and attorneys, and you’ll get one-on-one attention from your matched mentor.
